With this new publication, the publishing house is responding to the great demand, especially from part-time organists, for preludes for the beginning of the divine service. Such works usually have to be searched for laboriously in extensive anthologies and often do not meet the individual requirements in terms of length, degree of difficulty and expressive content. In order to remedy this situation, we have not bundled existing works but asked renowned composers of our day for exclusive contributions, which guarantees a maximum expansion of the repertoire. Everything that is important to the player in this context was taken into account: easy playability (at most (level, economical use of pedals), representability even on smaller instruments (at most two manuals), length suitable for liturgy (partly with suggestions for shortening) and a sound effect that places the festive and solemn in the foreground in order to put the community in the right mood of the service in the short time. All pieces are also suitable for other occasions, for example as post studies. A "vademecum" which can also be used in organ lessons, which will contribute to the liveliness of our church services and which not only sisters will gladly and constantly fall back on!
