The Last Unicorn is a 1982 animated film based on the 1968 fantasy novel of the same name by Peter S. Beagle. The music for this film was written by the highly regarded and successful American songwriter and composer Jimmy Webb. The hauntingly beautiful main theme begins with dissonant harmonies and mysterious orchestration, which later brightens up into a warm and expressive chorus with the powerful lyrics "I'm Alive... I'm Alive!". James L. Hosay's brass band arrangement captures all the warmth and beauty of this timeless classic by the great Jimmy Webb.
