The sacred choral music of the Prague master Brixi has long since arrived in church music practice in this country - not least due to the more than 20 first print editions of the Butz publishing house: It is characterized by solid craftsmanship as well as tonal freshness and absolute practicality, to which the usually modest instruments and manageable lengths of the works contribute. This three-movement, festive Te Deum is an exemplary example of Brixis' captivating style; it manages without soloists and can be easily integrated into any festive worship or concert setting, for example in harmony with one of his numerous masses of the same instrumentation.
