The young Spanish conductor and composer Ferrer Ferran is a pupil of Jef Penders. He conducts the symphonic band of the Valencia Conservatory of Music and the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta. For this three-part suite for symphonic band Youth Funky Ferran was inspired by today's rhythms and sounds. The lyrical middle part Sentimentale, dedicated to Sonia, links the joyful first part Sintonia with the rhythmical third part Funky. A thrilling composition for both the young and the young at heart.
