Rob Balfoort wrote this work on the occasion of the 75th birthday of the UNI wind band, from Katwijk. Katwijk is a small town in the northwest of the province of South-Holland. Unique is a concert march: after the introduction, a grandioso passage leads to the trio. Then we hear the main theme again, this time with a skillfully orchestrated counter-melody in the tenor register. This is an attractive concert march which certainly deserves a place on your concert program.
