The title "Promenade" refers to a concert where the audience takes a short walk during the concert or is listening standing up. People walk in and out the auditorium and thus listen to several styles and moods. From calm-easy, via solemn-classical to joyful-dance-ish and vice versa. After a slow part, the piece ends in a cheerful frolicsome allegro.
