Uniform choral sound, homogeneous singing in equally homogeneous clothing. What does the audience care about the fate of the individual choir singers? How good that they are allowed to "perform" again today. When else is there time to have a nice chat on stage, shout loudly, articulate your lack of understanding of contemporary art, express your hopes for a solo performance, your pontificating, your displeasure with your neighbors or your great infatuation with a choir member? Or at least take a look at the current evening edition.
