An easy but most appealing suite in three parts. I. Intrada: a stately procession of the king's court going to battle in a solemn march temp; II. Sad Song: a sorrowful ballad in ¾ expresses the distress of the ladies in the absence of their beloved knight; and III. Glorious March: a triumphal march illustrates the victorious return of the King and his courageous knights who defeated the enemy. A simple but very evocative suite.
