Penders originally composed this music to illustrate a series of slides on the Dutch province of Northern Brabant (NOord BRAbant). This is entertaining programme music with a musical evocation of a series of familiar sounds such as an alarm-clock going off, the ticking of grandfather's clock or a musician playing scales.
