Campfire Sketches was inspired by songs of the old west-folk songs that pioneers might have sung while sitting around a campfire. The first movement, 'All the Pretty Little Horses,' is a lullaby that is perfect for teaching legato playing and phrasing. The second movement, 'Cindy,' is an up-tempo number in an old west style that gives all sections a chance to sparkle.
