Amando Blanquer Ponsoda (1935-2005) is born in Alicante. Entornos is a symphony for band in three parts: Allegro Grazioso, Lento and Fanfarria y Coral. It is written in a tonal idiom and boasts an extremely fine orchestration for large symphonic band. A real masterpiece!
