As the title already suggests, this piece for wind band is written in the typical Spanish style: paso dobleWritten in a minor key, the introduction is very dynamic. Various sound and rhythmical effects place each instrumental group in the spotlight. Impressive basses are followed by high brass, after which the woodwind players play a more solemn melody. Then the major key and minor key elements are combined to give the composition the specific charm of the paso doble.
