Discursum is a short piece with a vigorous and solemn character. It opens with a bold and triomphant theme. This passes into a compelling and impressive middle part to end heroic and powerful. The original version for symphony orchestra was written in 2012 as the openings act of the festival of Benigànim in Valencia. By popular demand Pellicer transcribed it for wind band.
