Crazy Tongues was commissioned by the businessman and honorary president of the Municipal Band of Perg, Franz Baumann, and was premiered, with the composer conducting, on November 22, 2013 in Perg, Austria. "Crazy Tongues" has three solo parts, and each solo part works with up to three players sharing the part. This means you can feature up to nine performers! When choosing the soloists, however, take care to divide them by soprano, alto, Soprano instruments: flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet, xylophone. Alto instruments: clarinet, alto saxophone, flugelhorn, trumpet, French horn Baritone instruments: tenor saxophone, trombone, euphonium, bassoon, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone, tuba.
