Claritunes I wrote in the summer of 2019 originally for the Pinzgauer Klarinettenchor commissioned by the Musikum Salzburg.
This 2021 version for clarinet and piano, which lasts about 10 minutes, consists of 3 song-like character pieces. In the 1st movement, entitled "Variety of Clarionets", a cheerful, entertaining and varied, vaudeville song of the marionettes caricatured by the varied clarinets is heard. In the 2nd movement "Mirage" a mirage of dream visions appears and in the 3rd movement "Spring Dance" there is lively dancing and joyful celebration at a Hungarian spring festival.
