A journey to Hungary: Alfred Bösendorfer takes us to the Hungarian Puszta. He does not use melodies from Hungarian folklore, but rather his own motifs. In character, they sound like Magyar melodies: the first and last parts of the rhapsody are in a minor key. The joys and sorrows of the gypsy life are evoked, the violins of a village band sob a sad melody, and a fiery czardas sounds from an inn.
