The infectious and cheering character of the 100th Psalm makes this hymn-like text of praise equally popular with composers and singers. Swiss composer Paul Huber, who has won numerous prizes, has created an extremely effective motet on this textual basis that combines traditional tonal and moderately modern sounds into an individual but always listener-friendly tonal language. The (sometimes unisono) choir is additionally motivated by the fanfare and rousing accompaniment of organ and wind quartet (+ timpani ad. lib.), so that this short jubilant song will lend festive splendour despite manageable rehearsals, services and concerts.
This first edition will be published on the occasion of the composer's 100th birthday in 2018.
