Put on your helmet, fasten your seatbelt and get on your soapbox. Are you ready and willing to hurtle down roads, tackle curves, and pick up momentum for the home stretch?
That's what composer Marc Jeanbourquin wanted to capture in "THE GRAVITY RACER".
After a fanfare introduction, the start is given and the soapboxes start to roll. The ostinati set the rhythm of the piece.
The theme will be omnipresent until the slow part of the piece, where the whole ensemble will be able to let its musical expression speak for itself, as if a competitor had stopped to take a break and admire the landscape.
But the race resumes in the last part with a return of the ostinati of the start, this time with the initial theme in major. The piece will take the pilots through a final turn and then straight to the finish line.
